How garage work is actually priced

Two things drive the number: how much leaves, and how much help you need deciding.

Volume is the easy part. Every legitimate hauler in Broward County prices by how much of the truck bed your load fills — a standard dump-body truck holds roughly 450 cubic feet, sold in quarters. That's what the quarter-, half- and full-truckload language on each package means, and it's the one thing that lets you compare our quote to anyone else's. Ask every company you call: what fraction of a truck is this price buying me?

The second part is what makes a garage cleanout different from junk removal. If you already know what's going, you're buying carrying and hauling. If you don't — and most people genuinely don't — you're also buying the hours it takes to work through it with you, section by section, and the organization of what stays. That's the difference between a Quick Clear and a Garage Reset, and it's why we ask what you want accomplished rather than only how much stuff there is.

Fees we pass through at cost

These are charges the disposal facility bills us directly. We itemize them in your estimate rather than burying them in a base price.

Items requiring special handling — paint, chemicals, fuel, propane, hazardous materials, medical waste, large volumes of construction debris and other regulated materials — are not automatically included in any package. See the full list →

And some of it may come back to you. If there's something in the removal pile with real resale value — tools, lawn equipment, bikes, fitness gear, storage systems — we may offer to buy it rather than haul it. Offers depend on condition and demand and nothing is guaranteed, but it's worth pointing out in your photos.

A note on the cheapest quote

You can find a lower number on Facebook Marketplace, and sometimes it's an honest low-overhead operator and you got a deal. Sometimes it's a pickup truck without a disposal account — and a hauler without a disposal account has to put your water heater somewhere. Two questions filter this in ten seconds: where does my load go? and what fraction of a truck am I buying? Vague answers to either are your answer.

Either way, that's a different service from ours. A hauler moves what you've already decided about. We help you decide.

Pricing questions

Is $549 what every two-car garage costs?

No, and any company that tells you otherwise is guessing. The Garage Reset is sized for a moderately cluttered one- or two-car garage — roughly half a truckload and up to three hours. A garage that's packed floor to rafters, or one that needs deep sorting and full organization, is a Complete Garage Transformation. Your photos tell us which one you are.

Why do you price by volume instead of by the hour?

Hourly pricing gives the crew a reason to work slowly and gives you no way to compare quotes. Volume pricing tells you exactly what you're buying: a fraction of a truck bed. A standard dump-body truck holds roughly 450 cubic feet and the industry prices in quarters of it.

What's already included?

Labor, loading, transportation, and standard disposal fees. Sorting help and donation coordination are included on the Garage Reset and Complete Garage Transformation. There is no separate dump-fee conversation at the end.

What isn't included?

Pass-through facility fees on refrigerant appliances, mattresses and tires; heavy debris priced by weight; and items needing special handling. All of it is itemized in your estimate before you commit. Full list here.

Do I pay anything to get a price?

No. The photo estimate is free and comes first. A reservation deposit only comes up after you've accepted an estimate, and it's applied to your final balance.

How do I claim the new-client special?

Mention it when you request your estimate. $50 off your first Garage Reset, for first-time customers.
