This is an additional service. Our core work is garage cleanouts, decluttering and organization in Cooper City and Southwest Ranches. We take this work on for local customers, and it is priced the same honest way — but if the garage is the real problem, start there.

Single items, done properly

The most common call we get isn't a whole garage. It's one thing: the fridge in the garage that stopped cooling, the sectional that won't fit down the stairs, the treadmill that's been a coat rack since 2021, the water heater the plumber left behind.

Single item pickup is $125. That covers two people, a truck, the carry-out from wherever it sits, and disposal. Additional items on the same visit are priced by volume from there.

The refrigerant fee isn't a markup. The Clean Air Act requires refrigerant to be recovered by a certified technician before a unit can be disposed of, and the facility charges for that. Anyone quoting you a fridge haul with no refrigerant line item is either absorbing the cost or not doing the step.

Furniture

Sofas, sectionals, and recliners — including the ones that came in before a doorway got narrowed by a renovation. We disassemble when we have to.
Mattresses and box springs — $35 each on top of the load price, which is the facility's mattress-recycling fee passed through at cost.
Dressers, armoires, and bedroom sets — second-floor carry-downs included.
Dining sets, desks, and office furniture
Exercise equipment — treadmills, ellipticals, weight benches, and home gyms. Heavy, awkward, and exactly what we're for.
Patio furniture — the sun-bleached set that's been on the lanai since the last hurricane.
Pianos, safes, and hot tubs — specialty jobs, quoted on-site.

Donation comes first

If a piece is in usable condition it goes to a local donation partner rather than the transfer station. This is genuinely the first stop, not a marketing line — a working washer or an intact sectional has real value to a family that needs one, and the drop-off costs us less than the disposal fee anyway. The incentives line up.

Water-damaged, mold-affected, bed-bug exposed, or structurally broken items can't be donated and go to disposal. We'll tell you which category yours falls into when we look at it.

Getting rid of several things at once? Don't book them as separate single items — it costs more. One visit priced by volume is almost always cheaper. Send photos of everything and we'll tell you which way is less expensive, even when that's the smaller number for us.

Common questions

Do you disconnect the appliance?

We disconnect standard electrical plugs and water lines. Gas lines must be capped by a licensed plumber before we arrive, and water heaters need to be drained — those are code requirements, not preferences.

Can you get a couch down a narrow staircase?

Usually, and we disassemble when we have to. Tell us in advance if there's a tight turn or a narrow doorway so we bring tools rather than discovering it on-site.

Why is there an extra fee for refrigerators?

Federal law requires certified refrigerant recovery before disposal, and the facility charges for it. The $45 is that cost passed through, not a markup on our labor.

Do you take TVs and electronics?

Yes, and they go to an e-waste recycler rather than the landfill. No extra charge.

What if the item is still in good shape?

Then it gets donated, which is what we'd want anyway. If it's genuinely valuable, sell it first — we'll tell you honestly if we think that's the better move.
